In the Windows operating system, for protecting your files from other people you can easily hide your folder and files. But if you hide your folder, Any people can easily see your hidden folder. And if you have any confidential or private information in any files and folders that you don’t want others to view then you can also keep this file in your password protected folder. In password protected folder, you can keep any files and folder. So that any person could not open it and could not see it.



How To Create Password Protect Folder In Windows

Here I’m sharing with you very easy method with simple steps without using any software.

Step 1: Create a new folder with choosing any name on any location on your computer where you want to keep your Password protected folder.

Step 2: Open the created folder and create a new text document file (Right click in the open folder >> New >> Text Document file) and rename with any name.

Step 3: Now open text document file and copy this below code and paste into your created text file

Step 4: First of all change the password into the copied text where you will be seeing in the above text in green color(Set Your Password). Here you can write any password which you want. This password will help you for unlocking the folder.

Step 4: Now, Save this file with any name with .bat extension (batch file). Like as “My file.bat”. And close it.

Step 5: Open this saved file.

Step 6: Now, you will see a new folder with any other name (Secure, My Locker). Open this folder and keep here your files and folder which you want to keep in Password Protect Folder.

Step 7: After copying the file comeback and again double click on the batch file (My file.bat).

Step 8: Now will appear a command prompt and you see an option “Are you sure you want to lock the folder(Y/N)”.

Step 9: Click Y to lock the folder. And you will see done your password protected folder.




For Unlock:

If you want to unlock your folder for seeing any file, folder, and for adding any other files, folders then follow these step.

Step 1: Double-click on the password protected folder.

Step 2: You will see a command prompt and here type your password and press enter key from the keyboard.

Step 3: Now a folder will be automatically created, In the folder that you were keeping your files.

Step 4:  Now, You can add or delete any files, after open this folder.

Conclusion

All people have some private data on their laptop and they want to hide. I think you will also have, You can separately keep your private data in a special password protected folder without using any software. No one can access your protected files.
